The More The Butter!

I thought several of you would appreciate this amazing picture. This is the amount of butter used in ONE batch of buttercream at the bakery! I don't know if you can see clearly enough, but each of those blocks are equal to four sticks of butter! Nearly 15 pounds!
When we say "buttercream" at Sweet Indulgence, we mean it! :)

I'm a baller!

These sports cupcakes were so fun! There were three dozen in all; half white half chocolate, all with white buttercream. Delicious! I made the sports balls out of fondant (much easier than you think), by rolling it out, cutting the shapes, and decorating. I colored the orange, blue, and brown before rolling them out. My favorite were the bowling balls! So cute! I hope to make these again!

I'm feeling Spring! (I think)

Lately at the bakery, I am really feeling the need for spring, and I get really excited when we have a colorful order! The following cakes were just a few of the more recent "fun" cakes that made me feel happy inside. :)

Pretty Princess cake asking for pink and silver. I threw in a little purple as well! If you look closely, you can tell that there are actually three ribbons on there: purple, shimmery grey, and dotted pale pink. Fun!

Can you guess what this cake was for? j/k! Sarah asked for sky blue roses on her chocolate mousse cake, which I think was a wonderful idea! I love the blue and brown!

I absolutely loved the sweet little ribbon on this cake! Teal with pink and yellow daisies, how fun!
